WARM UP - 10 minutes of dynamic, explosive leg work before jumping

Drills
1) two lines (no bar) - short jog up and take off on proper foot and step onto mat - work on height and air time (6 jumps)
2) *Three steps into Scissor kick - first step is long the last two is short
and quick into scissor kick over elastic bar (6 jumps)
3) raise elastic bar gradually and continue with scissor kicks
Midgets+ ONLY
4) On box with elastic bar - backwards flop onto matt (6x's)
5) Five steps leading to flop - determine distance from matt and angle of jump (*remember pattern and rhythm of last three steps)
6) Seven steps -run up is straight leading into curve
POINTS OF FOCUS:
-arms on approach help to drive the jump higher
-lead hand/arm points up and to direction of jump
-head turned and eyes are looking to direction of jump
